Fire Season Begins June 28th

Effective Monday, June 28, 2010 at 00:01 a.m. the 2010 fire season will officially begin.  The start of the fire season activates restrictions on both public and commercial forest use in the Umpqua National Forest and on all private, county, state and Bureau of land Management (BLM) lands in the Douglas District of the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF).

PUBLIC USE RESTRICTION

Restrictions regulating the public use of forest lands are not in effect at this time.

INDUSTRIAL FIRE PRECAUTION LEVEL

Commercial operations in wild land areas are regulated at this time by “Industrial Fire Precaution
Level I – Closed Season.”
