EMS Field Supervisor Tim Richmond began his career as a volunteer with Sutherlin Fire Department and obtained his EMT in 1991. In 1996 he took a position as an Engine Boss / Wildland Firefighter for the Umpqua National Forest, North Umpqua Ranger District. In 2003, Supervisor Richmond began his EMS career with Wilts Emergency Service and Transport (WEST Ambulance) until Douglas County Fire District #2 took over operations in 2007 where he now serves as a Field Supervisor.

Supervisor Richmond believes that the public we serve deserves only the finest EMS personnel and equipment and that company readiness is his first priority.

EMS Supervisor Isaiah Bernier began his public service career in 2005 as a volunteer with Douglas County Fire District #2. He was hired in 2007 by W.E.S.T. ambulance as an EMT and has continued on that path with the Fire District EMS Division. In 2011 he graduated from Umpqua Community College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Emergency Medical Technology. He also completed Paramedic schooling that same year. While with the Fire District he has worked on the Safety Committee and Response Committee in addition to numerous other activities. Isaiah was promoted to the position of EMS Supervisor May of 2012.


A long time Douglas County resident, Isaiah takes great pride in serving his community. It is his commitment to ensure the public receive compassion, professionalism, and excellence from their EMS system.





Tonya Ferguson began her public service career in 2002 as a Volunteer FF and EMT-B for South Lane County Fire & Rescue. She graduated in 2005 from Lane Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Technology Paramedicine.

 

In July 2005 Tonya began her EMS career as a Paramedic with W.E.S.T ambulance.She was promoted to Field Supervisor in 2006 and continued in that position, during which time Douglas County Fire District No. 2 took over EMS operations. Tonya took a brief hiatus from supervisor duties after the birth ofher daughter and returned to the position of Field Supervisor in May of 2011.

 

Tonya is involved in the EMS committee and Quality Improvement review team along with numerous other activities. She is very passionate about EMS and the communities that we serve. Tonya is committed to the prompt, professional, caring response that our communities deserve.
